Double Welcome

Arriving home from working overtime last Saturday, I was welcomed by this cute visitor. It was one of Snowie's puppies. Snowie is a japanese spitz owned by Pastor Archie. They're selling her puppies at a very cheap price.

And so our cute little puppy was named "Mayumi", since she's said to be the most "mahinhin" and "malambing" from this batch of Snowie's puppies. Indeed she is. We easily became friends at first sight. :)

My dad, mom and I didn't want her to go. But my sis had to bring her at her place in Bulacan to keep her company during the weekdays. We'd surely miss her. So now I'm contemplating on getting another one. Maybe when Snowie gives birth again next time. :D

It was also a welcome celebration for Kuya Aries. He just arrived after 9 months of being in the ship. Yes, all of us missed his kakulitan and so we spent our Sunday afternoon with the sweet couple Kuya Aries and Ate Lucille at a nearby resort - Villa Ocampo. We really didn't mind the rain. (",)

God Bless The Broken Road

Got this song from the bunch of mp3s my sister sent me. The first time I listened to it, I already loved the lyrics and the melody so I'm sharing the mp3 here. (",)

"God Bless The Broken Road"
(Carrie Underwood & Rascal Flatts)

I set out on a narrow way
Many years ago
Hoping I would find true love
Along the broken road

But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign
Pointed straight to you

Every long lost dream
Lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart
They were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way
into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

Every long lost dream
lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart
they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way
into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

Jesus Take the Wheel

I first heard this song from a young little girl who joined Pop Star Kids at QTV 11, and I heard it also being played in some radio stations recently. I'd like to share the lyrics here. Anybody who's got an mp3 of this? I would appreciate it a lot. (",)
"Jesus Take the Wheel"
(Carrie Underwood/Album: Some Hearts)

She was driving last Friday
on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy
with the baby in the backseat
Fifty miles to go and she was running low
on faith and gasoline
It's been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
She was going way to fast
Before she knew it she was spinning
on a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was sooo scared
She threw her hands up in the air

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this all on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel

It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat
sleeping like a rock
And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been living my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this all my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Oh, Jesus take the wheel
Oh, I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
From this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel
Oh, take it, take it from me
Oh, why, oh
